Holly:  Hello, hello, and welcome to the Into the Woods podcast, episode 300…300!

This is your host Holly Worton and I am back with another solo episode. Today I am going to talk about all kinds of things, I am going to talk about my book launch, I am going to talk about celebrating 300 episodes on the podcast, how things have changed here and how my story can help you, because it is not about me, it is about you.

So, first of all I want to say thank you, thank you, thank you, for listening to the show, thank you for subscribing to the show, thank you to those of you who have sent me ideas for episodes. Thank you, thank you, thank you, for tuning in every week and making this episode happen, because when I first started this podcast I did it because I was trying to fill a gap in the market, at the time there were no podcasts that were dedicated exclusively to women entrepreneurs. There were lots of interviews with mixed, men and women, and I couldn’t find any with just women. That has totally changed since then but back in 2013, I couldn’t find what I wanted to listen to, so I knew that I had to create it myself.

Now, I got the idea probably, I think sometime around April, and by August I had launched this podcast. Since then it has changed name, it has changed focus, it has changed format, but, above all, I have been consistent in releasing this podcast every week now for 300 weeks. That is five-and-a-half years, it is going to be six years in August of this year, and that is due to the fact that people listen to it and people write in to me to tell me how helpful it is, and how useful it is, and how much they have learned, and that’s why I keep doing it because I know it helps people. Otherwise, if no one was listening, I wouldn’t show up every week to record a thing where I just blab on to myself about some topic. I am not naturally a speaker, I am not someone who I would have thought would be good at this, or consistent at this, or that this would be a good form of content creation to me. I am a writer, I have always been a writer, it is natural for me to write blogposts and books and things, it is not necessarily natural for me to speak. I joined Toastmasters several years ago, really loved that, and I really liked public speaking, but speaking into a microphone and putting it out online for people to listen to wasn’t something that I thought I would be good at, or even necessarily that I would be doing for so long. So, it has been a great revelation to me that I found this so easy, and easy to keep it consistent, so that is thanks to you, thanks to you for listening and subscribing and giving me your feedback.

Feedback

And, speaking of feedback, I love feedback, so please feel free to write to me at any time, [email protected], get in touch with me on social media, a lot of people will send me Facebook messages, or tweets. And I have created a survey, it has been a long time since I did a survey, but I would like to hear from you. So, if you head over to http://HollyWorton.com/Survey that will redirect you to the survey, it is on SurveyMonkey. Simple, basic questions, it probably shouldn’t take you more than five minutes to answer, I will read through some of the questions, I think there is just seven of them: first one: Through which of the following online formats do you prefer to learn and stay in touch with people: blogposts, podcast, that kind of thing? What topics do you most enjoy hearing me cover? That is super useful to me because I want to know what you want to hear from me about, what do you want to hear from me about? Is it nature stuff? Is it channeling stuff? Is it mindset, walking, other? Please let me know. What do you value most about my content? Whether that is this podcast, or blogposts, why do you read it or listen to it, why is it useful to you? How often would you like to receive content updates, information, from me? What topics would you like for me to cover on the podcast? I know I ask that all the time, but it is super-useful to me and I find that I most enjoy the topics that people give to me or ask me about. Just this morning I got an email from someone saying: you talk a lot about mindset work, but what does that mean, what exactly is that? And I realise that I talk about that a lot in the podcast, and I know I have in certain episodes explained what I mean by mindset work, but I realised that I needed to have it in a written place, blog, where I can direct people to and say: here is what I mean by mindset work. So that was a blogpost that I wrote this morning in response to this email that I got, and I will link to that in the show notes and it just basically says: mindset work, what is it? And I talk about what that means to me.

I will link to that, as I said, in the show notes and if you have any further questions on that topic like you read it and you think: what about this? Or how do you do that? Please email me at [email protected] because I feel like this is one of those blog posts, not everything is a podcast(!), I feel like this is one of those blogposts where I am going to be adding to it a lot. I have certain blogposts that I have created in response to people’s questions that I just keep adding to over the years; one of those is my “how to start a podcast” because that is a question I get asked all the time and I have a great blogpost about that, and I have also done a podcast episode on that, and I will link to those in the show notes. That is one of those posts that I keep updating as things change, as technology changes, but also as I learn more. So, any questions about anything feel free to email me.

Next on the survey: what topics would you like me to write a book about? I have a ton of titles and topics for books, and sometimes it is really easy for me to figure out what I want the next book to be, but I really want to know: what would you want me to write a book about? Whether that is a short book, like my business mindset books, or a longer book, what do you want me to write about? What do you want to hear me go really in-depth into in a book? Then the last question is: do you have any questions for me? That’s it. It should take you probably at the most five minutes to answer this survey and it would be really useful to me, none of the questions are obligatory, so you can answer one, or two, or three, or however many you want, there are seven questions, again, shouldn’t take you more than five minutes. So if you go over to: http://HollyWorton.com/survey and I will link to that in the show notes, that will redirect you to the survey itself. Thank you, thank you, thank you, that will be super-useful to let me know how I can best serve you.

NEW Book!

Before we get into today’s episode which I have already launched into, I wanted to mention my book, which is live today. I am super, super, excited, and also kind of terrified, to be sharing this book with the world. So I will link to where you can find that on Amazon, but the book is, if you haven’t heard me talk about it enough already, it is called: If Trees Could Talk: Life Lessons from the Wisdom of the Woods. And, it is all about my journey last year of collecting stories from trees and sharing them with you. I have had really, really, really, excellent feedback from people who know me, who have written reviews for me. I have had excellent feedback from people who know me really well and have said this is your thing, this is your path forward you are clearly on purpose here, this is good, and this is it. And that is really, really ah it feels really good, not just because I love hearing great things about the book, obviously I do, but because it is useful for me to hear from the people who know me really well that the book is great, because it feels like that, to me, means that it is really aligned with me, and with who I am, and with my path forward.

So, people have been describing the book as “empowering” and that’s something that I really got, especially from a couple of tree stories in particular that just feel massively empowering. People have described it as grounded, which makes sense, as it is wisdom from the woods, and the trees are very deeply rooted into the earth and very grounded themselves. It has been described as “inspiring”, “resonant” “light” “true” “expansive” and it is really, really, useful for me to hear this feedback because it kind of helps me know how to take this forward, what are my next books going to be about, how can I expand on this? How can I use this work to help people even more?

So, one of the questions that I have got from one of my reviewers is: I would love to know more about your process, it sounds like you simply found a tree, sat down and recorded a conversation, but what did it really take and how long? So this was all inspired by last year, in January, of 2018, I was on a forest-bathing-meetup and I will link to that in the show notes, I know I have talked about this a lot. But I was on, and I have only been to this meetup group once, I want to go again, partly because I want to gift them one of the books because it is thanks to them that this book exists. But we were in Newlands Corner, which is this place in Surrey, it is a little woodland, and we went into this yew grove and we were told to pick a yew tree and connect with it. So I found this yew tree, I went over to it, and it started talking to me and it said: you know, the book you are working on, it is really hard going, I have another idea for you that is going to be easier. And the yew tree said: trees have stories, we have stories to tell, and people need to hear our stories, and I would like for you to collect tree stories. And I tell a little bit about this story in the book, so I won’t go on and on here, but I instantly felt super-excited and I remember coming home and telling my husband: oh my God I am so excited I got this story, this yew tree gave me this idea, I am really excited about this.

And, of course, it was January, the middle of winter, but, as I went out on my walks, trees would reach out to me and they would say: I am in your book. Or, they would say: I am not in your book. And I kind of made a mental note and eventually a list on my computer of all the trees that had offered to share their stories with me for the book and on the Spring Equinox last year I collected the first story and, I originally thought that there was going to be these cute little fairy tales and they were not. And they were not, they were all about personal development and how we can connect with nature and ask for help from nature and specifically from the trees to improve our lives and to find more joy and to grow and to tap into our inner wisdom and to be more empowered and to tap into our personal power and just really beautiful things. And, 28 trees later, it became a book, and I worked on it all last year. I would collect the stories, I would verbally channel them, I would get the recordings transcribed and then I would kind of put it into a book. I would kind of set the scene with where the tree was, what it looked like and what was going on for me. I would reflect on the message and then I turn it over to you and I give journal prompts and ideas on how you can use this information for yourself, to improve your life.

Workbook

So, the book is kind of a two-part thing, so I have got the main book, which is out today, you can get it online and as I said I will link to that in the show notes. There is also a workbook and I am super-excited about the workbook, because I have always wanted to do a workbook for my books. I wanted to do a workbook for all of my business mindset books, and I haven’t, and I might go back and do that, but I am not quite sure, I may, or I may not, but I am super-excited about this workbook. So, what it does it takes the tree stories, it has some journal prompts, and most importantly it has space for you to write, so it has got some lightly lined pages in it so that you can draw, you can write, you can do whatever you want in there, it has got plenty of space for you to do that in. So it is a big book, it is an A4 book, or for those of you who are in the States, or in other parts of North America, it is kind of letter-sized. A4 is a little bit different from letter-size, but it is about that size, it is a big book and it is going to be a big, thick, chunky workbook and that will also be available online, I am hoping it will be out today, I am not sure yet, because I am recording this a week before, so we shall see. If not, it will be out within a week or so and I will share about that all over social media, because I am super-excited about the workbook.

So, that was the process. I had been talking to trees, I talk about this in the book, I don’t remember the exact date, but it was a couple of years prior to connection with this yew tree and getting the idea for the book. Basically, I guess it is like telepathic communication, I mean sometimes I will speak out loud to the trees, but usually the conversation takes place in my head. And, of course, that is one of the things that has freaked me out about getting this book out into the world is, you know, I hear voices in my head, and it is the trees talking. And, to people who aren’t familiar with channeling, or animism, or nature spirits, I get how that can be weird-sounding, but I believe in nature spirits and I do believe that the trees have spirits and I believe that animals have spirit and I believe that we can connect and communicate with these types of beings and also the minerals. So this is something that has become very normal to me and I realise that it is not super-normal for the mass-community, but people are really connecting with this book. Some of the people who offered to review this book for me were people who I didn’t think would be a natural reader or one of my ideal readers and I was kind of surprised by some of the people who stepped forward and offered to help me out with the review and the reviews have been great and I get the sense that it wasn’t just that they wanted to help me out by writing a good review of the book but that they did actually like the book, and it did mean something to them, and they did learn something from them. I have also got really good feedback from people who have reviewed the book they got an advanced copy and they are starting to implement the stuff that the trees have talked about in the books in their lives. A friend was just telling me that she just went to a park with her husband the other day and she said the trees in the book said that they liked to be touched, and they like to be touched in this way, and they were in this park with all these other people around just going out for a walk and they were connecting with the trees and touching the trees and that was something that they hadn’t done before but, because they had read this book ,and knew that the trees liked to be touched and they liked to have physical contact with humans, they started connecting with trees in a different way, so I love hearing this from people.

So if you get the book, and if you read the book, and if it changes your life in anyway, whether it is the tiniest of ways, whether it is just that you went out for a walk and you started touching the trees, please let me know, I would love to hear from you: [email protected] please do get in touch, I really, really, would appreciate that because I love hearing these stories. So that is the book, If Trees Could Talk: Life Lessons From the Wisdom of the Woods. I am super-excited that the launch of my book coincides with Earth Day, which is today, and also coincides with episode 300 for this podcast.

Earth Day

Now I intentionally set the launch of this book for Earth Day, because I wanted it to coincide with something important, a day when people are thinking about the Earth and thinking about ways that they can help the planet. And the trees have said to me that part of the reason why it is so important for me to get their stories out into the world is because humanity has become very disconnected from Nature and very disconnected from the planet and very disconnected from the Natural World and these stories are going to help us reconnect to Nature and the sacredness of Nature and the importance of respecting this planet that we live on. And they have said that the more people get outdoors and connect with Nature and connect with the trees, the more people will develop a sense of respect for this planet and the more that will have a snowball effect and people will read the book and they will talk about it to other people and they will go outdoors and touch the trees and connect with the trees and it just has a snowball effect of people becoming more and more aware of the importance of reconnecting with Nature and what they have basically said, the trees have basically said is that if we start to see trees as individuals, we start to connect with them, and build a deeper respect for them it is really hard to disrespect something that you know deeply, that you have a relationship with. So that is why this is so important, so that is why I have coincided the launch of this book with Earth Day. So if you want to learn more about Earth Day itself, I am sure you have heard of it, you can go to: http://EarthDay.org. So, the Earth Day, I don’t want to call it a holiday, but the day was founded by the Earth Day network who works, as they say on the website: year round to solve climate change and plastic pollution, protect endangered species, and broaden, educate and activate the environmental movement across the globe. So, this is a day that you can just be aware of what is going on and what you are doing and what you can do to help the world and help the natural world that we live in and yet have been so disconnected with. So, I will link to that website in the show notes and do check it out. And start thinking about little things that you can do, to improve your natural world, whether that is the plant realm, or the mineral realm, or the mineral realm, what can you do to help. There are so many little things that you can do, that just really, really, help and if everyone does a little bit more it all adds up. So that’s the book.

Episode 300

I am also really excited that it is 300 episodes of this podcast. As I said, I did not ever think that I was going to get this far. When I started the podcast, I started it with no particular goals, it was just something I wanted to put out there, something that I thought was important, because I couldn’t find it and , I wanted to contribute in that way.

So, this podcast, if you have been around for very long, and I think a lot of people have been listening to this from the beginning and somehow have stayed with me over the years and all the different iterations of this show. It started out as the Socially Holistic podcast, I think; then it was the Ready2Bloom podcast; then it was the Business Mindset podcast; and now, of course, it is the Into The Woods podcast. So, it started out as an interview show, where I just interviewed women entrepreneurs and talked to them about their journey and that was that. Then, it evolved into me doing occasional solo episode which was something that was really, really, tough for me, I really struggled with believing that I had something to say that I could talk to you about, that would be interesting and useful and entertaining, but useful more than anything, for 30 minutes every once in a while.

So, I started doing sporadic solo episodes and I started doing it once a month and then I quit doing interviews just over a year ago, for various reasons. I really enjoyed interviews and I also really didn’t enjoy interviews. I loved talking to people that I had as guests on the show, but I felt like I wanted to go deeper, I felt like a half-an-hour wasn’t enough and most people aren’t willing to do an interview for longer than a half-an-hour. I started having longer conversations with Jo Casey, we started doing monthly episodes, I added Joanna Hennon last year, so I do my co-hosted episodes, they are not interviews, it is the two of us, having a conversation on a topic. I added those to the list last year, I started really, really, really enjoying them and realised that’s what I wanted to focus on, having really juicy conversations with someone I know really well, I know I can have a really good episode with that is interesting and useful to the people who are listening because I like putting out good content and I don’t want to put out crap and I know that some of my episodes have been better than others but, generally speaking, I try my best to make them good, because I value your time, you know, you are listening to this thing and I don’t want you to listen to a piece of crap, I want you to get something out of it. So that’s what I changed, and I am really happy with this format, I have had an occasional guest on, again, to do a co-hosted episode, not an interview. I had Sharon Locke on for episode 295, we talked about how to make mindset work a habit and Sharon is someone I know really well, I knew we could do a great episode, I knew that it would work. So, occasionally, I do have guests, again, not to do interviews but to have a conversation that I think will be interesting and useful to people.

Where is this podcast going?

I do not know. It could go anywhere, because as I grow, and as I evolve, my content obviously has to evolve with me. My books, over the years, have gone from business mindset books, to walking books, to more nature-y personal development stuff. I don’t know what my next book is going to be, but I have some ideas.

Also, if I get a really good idea from the survey, maybe I will bump that idea up into the list, so: https://www.hollyworton.com/survey – give me a great idea, please, I want to know what you want to know from me.

So, as I grow, as I evolve, and I have done a lot of that over the last five or six years, as I grow my content obviously has to evolve with me. So this is why this podcast has had four different names and many different formats and will continue to. I don’t know where I am going to be changing from here, I don’t know how I am going to be evolving in the next five or six years, but I do hope to continue podcasting because this is a format that I love, didn’t think I would love it, but I love it, and I really like sharing with people in this way.

One thing that makes it easier for me to support you on this podcast is through the support of my patrons on Patreon, and that is something that I added last year. I actually set up my Patreon account a couple of years ago, didn’t really use it, I mentioned it once and then never again and then last year I really got into to building my community on Patreon. That is something that is very compatible with this podcast, because this podcast used to be very much related to my business, when I was doing business mindset or doing social media, the stuff that I talked about here was very much related to my business and so that kind of created a solid revenue stream. Now, I am focussed on my writing and helping people through my writing and through Patreon. So if you get value from this podcast, if you find it interesting and useful, I would love to have you support me on Patreon. Membership starts from just $1 a month, and I talk about stuff there that I don’t share anywhere else. So I share sometimes journal prompts for episodes to help you dig deeper into the topic that I have talked about on the podcast, I do done-for-you mindset work, I offer discounts on one-to-one sessions, that kind of thing. It is how I am supporting people in addition to this podcast and my books. So, again, if you found this podcast useful, I would love to have you support me there. It is: http://Patreon.com/HollyWorton. That’s a very quick mention but that is one way that you can help me to continue to support you through this podcast by helping me cover the expenses of this podcast, which includes my fantastic editor and also my podcast hosting, because hosting this show is not free and it is a small investment that I have to make every month and I have my fantastic editor who goes through edits the podcast and uploads it online for me. So, I am making a financial investment every month to get this podcast out there and to help you; and so I am super, super grateful for the people who have decided to repay me by joining my Patreon, I really, really, appreciate it.

So, I also wanted to, in consistency with episode 200, where I talked about my top 5 episodes on this show and why I think they are so popular, I wanted to mention those again here, and they haven’t changed that much: four out of the five top episodes are the same. So I am going to link to them in the show notes so that you can access them if you want to listen to them. Episode 96 is by far the best-listened-to-episode, it is called, How to Use Muscle Testing in Your Business, and it is a solo episode with me, and that episode is clearly popular because it is related to a video on my old YouTube channel, which was how to self-muscle test. That’s a video that had over 150,000 views and I linked to that podcast episode in the notes and I think a lot of people found the video and from there went to the episode. So I think that is clearly why that was number 1.

No. 2 top episode is with Maria of Gentle Whispering, an ASM artist, and she talked about how to create a successful YouTube Channel. She has got a massive following, so I think people have probably searched for her and found that episode and listened to it. I don’t think she shared it with her community, but she might have.

Next, episode 37, so a really old one, How to Effectively Manage Your Team with Alison Greene of Ask A Manager, Alison very generously shared the episode with her audience, and I think that is where a lot of people came from on that episode and it continues to get downloads and that was another great episode. Alison is someone who I really, really, admire, she has got a great blog and she also had a podcast of her own.

Next, is episode 83, How to Follow Your Creative Intuition with Flora Boley, and Flora is an artist who does intuitive art and teaches intuitive art and has a fantastic website and program and book on how to do that. It was a great episode, I really enjoyed it, and she was also generous enough to share this with her audience. Finally, episode 27, a very, very, old one, How to Build a Successful Business Around Your Blog, with Celestine Chua. Celestine is someone who I have been following online for years, probably since 2010 or so. She built a wildly successful blog and if you go to that episode, I link to that website and everyone else’s website in the show notes and you can check her out. She built a very, very, successful blog and a successful business around it.

So, I think most of those episodes were so successful because of who I was interviewing, either the people shared them online, on their own platforms, or I think people in their community were probably searching for information about those people and listened to the episode. So, those are the top 5 episodes and very kind of business and creation-expression-focussed, which is really interesting, because those are blogging, YouTube, all that kind of creative content creation is stuff that is really important for any business, but also a lot of people that don’t have businesses are choosing to express themselves through creating YouTube videos, through blogposts that kind of thing. So, It is something that, I think is of interest to a lot of people so, as I a said, I will link to those in the show notes and listen to them, I think they are all really, really, good episodes.

My journey

So, as always, the whole point of me sharing my story and talking about myself is to help you not just for me to talk about myself because there has to be a purpose to this.

So, as you have seen, through what I have been talking about so far, my business, and myself-expression and my focus has evolved so much over the years. I started out as a life coach and then I was helping people with social media, and then I was helping people with business mindset, and now I am focussing on my writing, and specifically helping people to connect with themselves, and grow themselves and develop themselves though connecting with nature. I think that is where I am going from here, at least that is where this book is going. So, it is going to be very nature-based, whatever it is that I do, because that is such an important part of my life.

So I have changed, I have grown, and the reason that I think I have changed so much is because, thanks to the mindset work that I have done, and I will link to that blogpost in the show notes if you don’t know what I mean by mindset work, thanks to the mindset work I have done, changing my beliefs, reprogramming my beliefs at the subconscious level, becoming aware of my beliefs; how they serve me; how they don’t serve me and changing the ones that don’t serve me, because I have done so much of that work, I have been able to go on this journey to the centre of myself and I don’t think I am at the centre of myself yet but I am slowly spiralling, peeling off the layers of crap, peeling off the masks, getting to know me. To me, my life, for the last five or six years, has been all about a journey of self-discovery and really getting to the core of who I am and what I am here to do and how I am here to help people and how and why. And answering all those major questions like: who am I? Where am I? Where am I going in life? How can I help people? What am I here for? And it has taken me many, many, years to get more and more clarity. I think as I peeled off each layer, and it is as I went through each layer, and it kind of got closer and closer to the core of myself. As I peeled off each layer, I was taking different actions and I was taking new actions and I was taking more actions and that was helping me to get closer and closer to knowing who I am. And that has helped me to express myself in the world, differently, and to help people through my expression, and to help people through telling my story, and to help people through the work that I do and the podcast episodes that I create and the blogposts that I write and the books I write and that kind of thing because it is all about how I help people.

So, how can you use this to your advantage?

I think it is really, really, important to figure out who we are at the core, not who do we want to be but who are we today, knowing who we are today and then figuring out what we want to be doing, what path we want to be on, where we want to be going. And figuring out how to get there and stepping outside our comfort zone on the way there, because personal growth is all about getting out of our comfort zone and doing new things and trying things differently and growing so we can experience the things that we want to experience and create the life that we want to experience. So, how do you get to know yourself? I have a ton of blog posts about who am I? I have a whole series of blogposts from eight years ago, called who am I? Where am I? Where am I going? I will link to those in the show notes. And, for a while, I had an online course on this, and then I got rid of it and it is something that I want to revisit in the future. If you think that is something that will be useful to you, or you want me to revisit these blog posts or expand them in any way, please let me know, because I want to put time and effort in stuff that I think will be of use to people, so if you let me know it that will be of interest to you I will do so.

So, it is all about getting to know who you are, what is important to you, what are your values? What do you want to experience in life? What do you want to create in life? How do you want to help other people in your life? And, getting to know who you are will help you on your path, because the better that you know yourself, and the better that you know what path you want to be on and where you want to be headed, the easier life is. It is like you have kind of your own inner compass that helps you head off in one direction or another and to stay on your path and helps you to pivot your path as you get to know yourself better and better. So, all of the changes that I have made in my life over these years, and in my business, have been based on pivots that I have made, because as I get to know myself better I adjust my path, a little bit, a little bit, a little bit and I guess from the outside that might seem kind of big, going from life coach to social media coach, to mindset coach, to nature. And I guess it has been big changes, but it has all been based on stuff that was important to me at the time and I think that little-by-little, it is like I have been refining my path. So, I have gone from this you know this big motorway, or highway, to smaller road, to smaller road, to country lane, to footpath and I am just refining my focus and my vision and where I am going.

So, what are your values? What things are important to you? What are your priorities? What things are most important for you to do? What things are you interested in? What are your hobbies? What are your interests? What things do you like to learn about? What things do you like to read about? Who are your friends and what are they like and why are you friends with them? Sometimes looking at the people that we choose to have in our lives can help us see who we are, or what we want to become. What are you passionate about, what do you really, really, love doing? What are you obsessed with?

Those are the kind of questions you can ask yourself and get a feeling for: who am I? Because, this is a really, really, difficult question to answer and I think it is something that you only come to little-by-little, as a result of asking that question over and over and over and really getting clear on the answers to the questions. You know, lots of journaling, lots of introspection, lots of asking yourself questions, and paying attention to the answers. And then seeing how things change, because I think the more we ask ourselves these questions and the more we get to know ourselves, the more we realise that our answers today are not the same as our answers a year ago, or our answers five years ago, or ten years ago. I am constantly changing and growing, and I am very, very, different person. So, I think it is important to look at how we have changed, because people do change, I think that people who say that people don’t change, I think that is absolutely ridiculous. I think we can consciously change; I think we can unconsciously change; the question is who are we? How do we get to the core of ourselves? We do that by asking ourselves and answering these questions.

I think journaling is a really easy way of doing that and getting clarity on who we are, and I think also maybe getting readings, like a reading from our guides, or that kind of thing, working with someone like Lisa Wechtenhiser who I will link to in the show notes, who has really helped me in the past as a business coach, kind of helping me stay on track and getting to know myself, because she channels your guides and of course I channel my own guides, but it is so much easier sometimes to have someone do that for me. You know getting help from someone else, hiring a coach can help. If you feel like you can’t afford any of that, or you don’t want to invest in any of that, just start asking yourself these questions and I am going to include some Journal Prompts for my patrons. I often post journal prompts for the podcast in Patreon, so I will create some of those and post those. So, if you are in Patreon, keep an eye out for those.

Otherwise just ask these questions that I have been asking: what do I value? What is important to me? What are my passions? What are my priorities? Ask yourself those questions, ask yourself those questions on a regular basis, blog about them, and you will be on the path to getting to know yourself better and better, little-by-little. And I think it is one of the most important paths we can walk, because the more people that do this work and really tap into the core of who they are, the better this world will be, because people will be living authentically, living happily. I think that is ow we find our joy in life, being our authentic selves, and not trying to pretend to be someone that we are not, someone that we think other people want us to be, whether it is our family, it is our friends, our teachers, whatever. I think the more that we can be authentic and live our authentic lives, just the better it is for everyone because also, it encourages other people to do the same, it is inspiring.
