What Are Your Three Priorities?Today’s blog challenge involves how to live life on your own terms. I believe that life is all about getting clear on priorities, and then planning our life around them. Rather than simply doing what other people think we should do, or possibly worse, simply drifting through life and experiencing whatever happens rather than making a conscious decision on what to do.

Which is why I love it when Natalie Sisson says:

You simply need to make a choice. You need to choose freedom and make a commitment to building that lifestyle.

If you want an online business that allows you the freedom you want in life, then you need to make that a priority and commit to it. I find it easy sometimes to get off track by looking at what other friends in business are doing. Eventually I find my way back to my own path, which I know without a doubt is an online business that allows me the freedom to move around.

Today’s question is:

What are my three priorities for the next 30 days that will move me closer towards living life on my own terms?

This is an easy one:

  1. Promote my new podcast.
  2. Focus on speaking engagements.
  3. Plan product launch.

I’ve got a new podcast that launches tomorrow. It focuses on business and marketing interviews for women in heart-centered businesses. I’m so excited about it! It launches with three interviews, and a fourth will go up later this month.

One of the things on my list to do this year was to get more speaking engagements. I absolutely love public speaking, and I was pleasantly surprised to be invited to three business networking meetings in and around London this month to speak about social media for business. Two of the engagements were arranged after the organizer of the business networking group googled “holistic social media” and came up with me. I then realized that I was lucky she contacted me, as I didn’t have a page on my website devoted to speaking. Now I’ve got one, and I look forward to preparing for the events I have booked, as well as getting new speaking engagements in my calendar.

I’ve got a new product to launch before the end of the year, and I need to work on planning it. I’m pretty excited about this launch, and I can’t wait to spread the word about it. I’ve been so focused on getting the podcast up and running that I need to start thinking more about this product launch.

And so why are these things priorities?

The podcast is a priority because it’s something I’m really passionate about, and because it will open me up to an international audience, as well as to the tribes of the women I interview. The speaking engagements are a priority because they’ll open me up to meeting new people locally, as well as finally getting some face-to-face time with people (I spend a lot of time online). And the product launch is a priority because it’s coming up soon, and because it’s my first new product since January. Yes, it’s about time!

I’m very excited about all three things, and I can’t wait to focus more on these for the next 30 days.

What about you? What are your three priorities for the next 30 days that will move you closer towards living life on your own terms? Please share in the comments.
